Lisan Homan joined Van Benthem & Keulen as a lawyer in September 2015 and is a member of the Liability & Insurance and Healthcare & Social domain practice groups.

Her work includes advising and litigating in the areas of road traffic liability, employer's liability, vicarious liability and medical liability. In this regard she deals with both liability matters and quantum of damages.

Lisan regularly assists insurers and employers in various proceedings, such as ancillary dispute proceedings and proceedings on the merits. Finally, she advises about matters pertaining to insurance law, such as cover disputes.

About Lisan Homan

After obtaining her bachelor’s degree in law at the Utrecht Law College (ULC), Lisan successfully completed a master’s degree in Private Law, specialising in liability and insurance law.

Lisan complemented her master’s degree by studying European law at the University of Sheffield in England for six months, where European health law was among the subjects she took.

In 2022, Lisan successfully (cum laude) completed the postgraduate specialist course in Personal Injury at the Grotius Academy.

Lisan regularly publishes in professional journals, including the PPS Bulletin. She also undertakes speaking engagements for the Liability and Insurance Expert Meeting (Kennismeeting Aansprakelijkheid en Verzekering).

Lisan is a member of the Association for Personal Injury Lawyers (LSA), the Association for Health Law (VGR) and of the Association for Young Professionals in Personal Injury Law (VJJP). She has also chaired two committees at the Central Netherlands Young Bar Association and served as a committee member of this association for a year.
